Swash has never just been about windows. For us, it has always been about life.
 
The journey began in 2010, when a simple idea — to take what was being taught in college and put it into practice in the real world — sparked something bigger. With the help of my dad, inspiration from my uncle, I bought my first van, an old white Ford Transit from my dad, Swash was born. From that moment, it became more than a project. It became a purpose. A way to serve.
 
Through Swash, I built something from the ground up. I formed friendships that felt like family. I bought my first home. I discovered pride in creating something with my heart, from my imagination with my own two hands.
 
But life has a way of testing us. Along the way, there were challenges — the loss of a close friend, difficulties with staff, battles with depression, and grief that turned my world upside down. I sold rounds I had worked years to build. I lost the home I thought was forever. I lost love. A presence with my children and at times, I thought I’d lost everything.
 
Through all of this, Swash remained. It became the anchor when everything else was stripped away. The one constant I could hold onto. And in that, it shaped me — into a dad who refuses to give up, no matter the storm. No matter how tough times can be. 
 
Today, Swash is more than just work. It is a lifeline. It is the path to rebuilding a home, presence with my children, a future, a life worth living. Every customer served, every window cleaned is more than a job — it is a step toward light, its resilience, and renewal.

Now proudly based in West Mersea and serving Colchester and the surrounding areas, Swash may have been quiet for a time — but it has returned, stronger than ever. 
 
Swash exists to do more than clean. We are here to make homes beautifully again for the families who live in them. To restore pride, light, and brightness to everyday life. That feeling you get when your home shines again — that is what we aim to deliver. Swash is ruled by heart.
